FEB PHOTO JOURNAL
Just wanted to update you guys with a quick photo journal recap via my Instagram (follow me? @mpantel)! This month has been spectacular. Started the month off being part of a funny TSN Valentine's Day skit with Cabbie Richards and Evander Kane. Started a new job with Cruise Media Group. Went to Florida to shoot (now it's editing time!). Watched one of my close girlfriends get married in Brandon. Held a 12 foot python. Bought some new things to furnish the new home. Starting to slowly feel settled... finally!
I went for an amazing run today and I couldn't help but get the feeling that spring is around the corner. I love that feeling!

JANUARY 2013 ROUND UP
January has been a pretty incredible month, and what better way to look back at the first month of 2013 than through Instagram? Here's a summary of January... in order of events... sort of.
- I rang in the new year on a beach in Fiji with the best person in the world. Ever.
- Ate the best ice cream in LA here.
- Played games and drank drinks here.
- I saw my first NBA game in LA (Lakers vs Clippers!). Seriously my new favourite sport!
- Planning and decorating our new home (we moved at the beginning of December).
- Launched another Prairie Yogi of the Month video.
- I played in a bonspiel fundraiser. Love those.
- Trying my best to complete a 30 day yoga challenge.
- I think I must have 6 photo shoots under my belt this month alone. So busy.
- Shot and edited a personality profile on Chef Rob.
- Wedding showers + catching up with old friends.
- Went to a Winnipeg Jets game. The lockout is over; let the beer flow.
- I ate at the first restaurant to ever be on ice. The river pop up RAW: ALMOND. It was amazing.
- Visited my new favourite neighbourhood flower boutique Oak + Lily. This place is so cute and the owner Tat is so sweet.
- I got a big girl job with an awesome company- starting on Monday!
- Tried Thai Yin Yogassage with Monica at Hollow Reed Hollistic. Finished the month feeling happy and centred.

CHEF ROB
If you're kind of a foodie and you live in Winnipeg, chances are you know who Chef Rob is. For those of you who don't know Rob Thomas, he's kind of a celebrity chef in Winnipeg. He's been cooking for over 18 years and now is part-owner of Modern Taco Company, a new restaurant on Academy in Winnipeg. Rob also offers catering services and personalized in home dining. He'll visit your home and create dishes with you and he'll even put together wine or beer pairings with the dishes.
Rob and I have been friends for years and it's always a treat running into him, his signature dreadlocks and really, really big smile. The guy is passionate about life and food- no wonder we get along!
I had the chance to sit down and interview Chef Rob for a school assignment. I also ran into local food blogger Lunch for 1 , Anna Echols. I got to eat some of his amazing tacos for lunch. And then later that night I returned for dinner. So basically I'm telling you the menu is great- and gluten-free!

LIFE + METRIC MARKETING
I'm writing to you all from a different place in my life- a home that is! No more condo-living for this gal! Things have been been in turbo mode over the past few weeks. I've been living like a semi-gypsy out of boxes while desperately trying to finish the last of my school assignments.
Last week, I started a three week
internship at Metric Marketing, an online marketing agency. The company recently changed names
(used to be Canada's Web Shop) and locations. Lucky me, I get to hang
in the brand new offices- it's nice and fresh at Metric! The first
couple of days I was a little bit shy, which isn't really like me -
but I've warmed up to the family at Metric. Lee surprised me this afternoon with chocolate chip banana bread aka the fastest way to becoming my best friend. I've been working on two
social media clients and some small design stuff and this week I'll
be doing some search engine optimization.
I'll be finishing my Scuba lessons this
week too, so that I can do some diving. In the ocean. In Fiji! YA!
We're going to FIJI!
I can't think of a better way to wrap
up the best year of my life. A fun internship where I'm constantly
learning, a new home with the person I love so much, getting certified to
scuba, and a trip that's bound to be adventurous and romantic in one
of the world's most luxurious destinations. Cray.

WHITE NOISE
I had such a good day today.
I treated myself to an hour Ashtanga class in the morning (don't you just love the chants?), had coffee with a girlfriend, played in a photo studio with my sister for a few hours and now I'm sitting at my parent's house eating all of their food and talking their ears off.
Here are some of the photos I took today with my beauty of a little sister. The girl is seriously a chameleon and can pull off just about anything. If I didn't love her so much I would hate her. Haha.
