At the beginning of 2011, I self-published a portfolio of works that I am most proud of. I included a mix of art, photographs, writing and other random creative things that make me happy. The thing I love most about creating is the process, never the end result. Well, sometimes the end result. ;) However, I think that creative types should compile their labours of love.

I know that in just a few short months I'll have another pile of work I'll want to gather up and publish.

If you're interested in making your own book I would highly suggest Blurb. This company lets you be the artist when it comes to creating your book. They are InDesign and Photoshop friendly.

  1. love it! your book looks so interesting! seems like the kind of book that you would place on your coffee table for people to flip through and be inspired from.....

  2. I never knew this about you! Please bring this to class one time, I'd love to see it!

  3. Legit.
Your portfolio looks like a seed for inspiration Monique. I hope that I will be able to browse through it one day!

  4. I meant to comment on this post forever ago but for whatever reason was having major issues commenting on blogger. Anyway, it's all sorted out now and I'm back! This is so amazing! Such an amazing treasure to have. It sure beats the folder of creative projects I have saved on my computer ha! I would love to see this when I come to visit. Because I am coming to visit! I'm feeling truly inspired and would love to do this at some point myself. I'll definitely be checking Blurb out when I do. Just beautiful, Monique. You are so talented. And is that CJ I see!!?!xo
